Tournament Availability Form for Dec 10-11. RSVP by Sun, Dec 4

Athletes need to complete the below google doc for availability for the Dec 10-11 weekend.  Please be sure you complete the High School or Age Group link based on your current grade in school.

Athletes will be placed on teams based on availability, attendance, & water polo ability.  Please spread the word as only those who RSVP will be included on rosters.

Oct 23 Tourney Schedule & teams

Below are the teams and times for Sunday’s games.  Rosters were constructed through the Availability form and practice.
Make sure you arrive 45 minutes prior to your first game for team meeting and warm up.

Please remember to bring your USAWP ID (a print out of a temporary card will work).

Winter Polo 16-17 Season

Winter polo will begin the week of Nov 28th.  Registration will open in early November on a first-come-first-served basis.  Basic information for planning purposes is below.

Winter Information

We will train for 3 weeks, then take 2 weeks off for the holidays. Workouts will begin again during the first week of January (exact date TBD), and end the last week of January for HS (due to HS swim season beginning). The Age Group & Jr Polo programs will train for one more week.

The two teams at Carlmont, we are the host, we will need parents to help at the score table with clocks and books.  Thank you to the 12s parents who have already volunteered!  14A you will need to arrive at 7:45am to set up the pool.  12A you will need to clean up and cover at the end of your second game.

USAWP Academic All-Americans

Congratulations to the Stanford Water Polo girls who earned USA Water Polo Academic All-American distinction! Student-athletes needed a 3.6 GPA on a scale of 4.0 to qualify, those that received a 4.0 GPA were honored as outstanding achievers (denoted by *).

The Stanford Club (girls and boys combined) once again led the nation in Academic All-American athletes with 54 (27 girls/27 boys).  The top five clubs in the country were: Stanford 54, SoCal 37, 680 35, SD Shores 34, SET 29. Full USAWP announcement.

Parkas – Deadline Wed, Sept 7

We will be ordering parkas this Fall.  If you don’t want to wait until the winter and delivery in Jan, order now.  Deadline is Wed, Sept 7th.  Same day your order form for team jackets and suits are due.  If you would like to combine both into 1 check payable to TWPC that is fine, be sure to include both forms however.
