Dec 15 & 16 Winter Tournament

Teams for Dec 15 & 16

Be at the pool 45 minutes before your first game. Please don’t be late.
Remember you need to have attended 2 of the 3 practices to be eligible.
Parents, please read the blurb in the previous post about our obligation to provide a desk volunteer for every game. It helps the coaches a great deal if they don’t have to search and ask for a volunteer right as the game is about to begin.

Winter Tournament info

The teams and schedules for this weekend will be posted today or tomorrow (Weds or Thurs). We want to be sure the schedule is final before posting and then having to announce corrections. Check back soon.

One area that we will need parent involvement for will be help at the scorer’s table. In all Pacific Zone competitions, each team is required to have one volunteer at the desk for every game. This may be running the clock or the scoresheet.

We realize that this may be less enjoyable than simply watching your daughter play, but please organize as a parent support group and split up the work to make sure Stanford has its responsibility covered. It takes coaches’ attention away from the athletes when we are preparing the team to play a game and the referee is asking us to get a volunteer for the desk. Thank you in advance and many thanks to all the parents who have volunteered for the desk over the years.

Dryland program: 1st meeting Weds at Stanford

Athletes participating in the dryland training with Travis should meet at the pool at Stanford (on the upper deck near the main entrance gate) at 5pm. Wear comfortable workout clothes and shoes.

We are working on a permanent location for dryland.

Winter 07-08: HS filled, space in AG & Micros

The high school group has filled up at just over 100 athletes.

There is still room to join the age group and micros programs. You can bring paperwork and proof of USA Water Polo membership to the first practice.
