Stanford Qualifies for Speedo Cup

Congratulations to our girls on a great effort yesterday by beating both 680 Drivers (9-0)  and Diablo (7-4).  Speedo Cup is USA Water Polo’s National Championship for the Fall.  We are excited to be representing our zone for the 11th time in 12 years.

Kyle, Kelsey and Jenna have done a great job with the entire group this Fall, highlighted by beating Diablo after losing to them the first two Fall League weekends.  The improvements by everyone have been remarkable and the girls should be very proud of their development.  Keep up the hard work.

The next Fall League is Sunday, Oct 19.  Most likely the games will be at Doughtery Valley HS.  We will post the shedule when we are notified of the game time.

Jr. Polo

Jr Polo has their third Intra-club competition Sat, Oct 4, from 9-11 am at Roble Pool.  So far the mornings have been great and we are looking forward to seeing you this Sat.

Speedo Cup Qualifying

We have two games for Speedo Cup Qualifying. We will know by the end of the day if we are qualified for the Speedo Cup in Ann Arbor, Mich.

Games are Sunday 10/5 at Palo Alto HS. Stanford vs 680 at 2:45 and Stanford vs Diablo at 4:15. Be at the pool at 1:45.

Roster: Courtney Batcheller, Katie Blunt, Bridgette Harper, Kate Huneke, Allison Larko, Martine Leclerc, Lauren Lesyna, Morgan McCracken, Julia Ponce, Tina Samson, Marissa Sendejas, Carla Tocchini, Averi Westerman

Fall Update, Tue Sept 23rd.

Jr Polo has their second Intra-club competition Sat, Sept 27, from 9-11 am at Roble Pool.  The first one was great and hope to see even more girls there this Sat.

Age Group has their second weekend of the Fall League on Sunday the 28th.  All games will be at Paly.  The schedule and teams will be posted Wednesday.   We will need lots of parents to help run the desk.  I am attaching a sheet with guidelines on how to do stats, game clock and shot clock.
