JO Recap & What is ahead

Congratulations to all our players and coaches on an amazing JOs.  Stanford was one of just 8 teams represented in the Platinum Division (top 24) of JOs in every age group (12s, 14s, 16s, 18s), and the only club to qualify 3 teams in any division (the 16s).  In all 8 girls teams and 1 10/u co-ed team participated in the biggest and best JOs ever.

Thank you, the athletes and parents, for helping and making JOs so successful.  Helping run pools, courses, selling tickets, taking pictures, having team functions, the list is endless.  Lunging to London and your help at JOs showed the world that Stanford is truly the center of water polo.

NOW…
Age Group (6th-8th graders, Mon & Wed) – Fall polo begins Wed, Sept 5.  (info posted soon)
Jr Polo (11/unders, Mon & Wed) – Fall begins Mon, Sept 10  (info posted soon)
Good luck to the High Schoolers as you compete against one another (until winter polo)
and to our graduates heading off to college – Best of Luck.

Let’s get more girls playing water polo.  If you know of young girls looking to use their swim, basketball, soccer or others skills, or new, lets get them out for Jr or Age Group Polo.  More info to follow.

We were told that if you are driving to Santa Cruz in the summer rush hours (weekends 10-2). It is recommended that you take Summit and/or Old San Jose Rd. down to Soquel. That can save you 20-30 min of traffic if you are going to Cabrillo or Aptos.
