Vee Dunlevie is one of the many Stanford Water Polo Club Alumni. In addition to playing for the Club Dunlevie played for Sacred Heart Prep and Stanford University. Dunlevie started playing water polo in sixth grade but didn’t enjoy it so took a break from the sport until eight grade when she started playing at the club. Dunlevie was 13 when she started playing seriously. Neither of Dunlevie’s parents, Bruce or Elizabeth, played water polo but her brother did. For Dunlevie, the most fun parts of water polo were skip shots and teammates.
During Dunlevie’s high school water polo career at Sacred Heart Prep she played varsity all four years and was a starterĂ‚Â for three. Dunlevie was part of three Central Coast Section Championship finals, winning the last two in a row. Dunlevie was the captain of the Sacred Heart Prep water polo team during her senior year. She was also named CCS division II Player of the year and the Palo Alto Daily News Player of the year as a senior. Dunlevie graduated form Sacred Heart Prep in 2009. During high school, her club coaches were Ted Minnis and Kyle Utsumi.
After high school, Dunlevie went on to play at Stanford University [NCAA champion in 2011]. Dunlevie no longer plays water polo at all but misses her playing days very much.
