I play for Iona college in New York. We’re a division one program. I live in San Jose with my parents, Ajay and Elizabeth, and my sister Malaika for the three months of summer vacation we have from college.
My favorite memory of playing water polo here at Stanford was winning the bronze medal with my 18U team in the gold division. However winning the medal didn’t mean as much compared to the amazing friendships I have now from that team. They mean the world to me and we are extremely close even till this date. We have team reunions every six months and I consider all of those girls like my sisters. Shoutout to coaches Kyle and Mark for being such amazing coaches for us – we couldn’t have done it without them.
I’m a business marketing major in the Hagan School of Business at Iona.
Good advice I have to give to others is play with all your heart and soul. You can’t teach passion! Just love what you do and every moment from the practices to the games.
My hobbies are hiking, traveling the world, reading, and mainly exploring New York City while I’m at school.
I will be at the reunion on June 27. I am flying in from a study abroad program in Rome on the 26th so I won’t be able to make it.
