Do you still play water polo? No, I got my 5th concussion this past season so I’m not allowed to play anymore.
-
Do you play water polo in college? How is/was it? I played my freshman-junior year, I’m going to be a senior next year and I’ll still be helping out with the team even though I can’t play.
-
What team was your rival when you played for Stanford? Honestly I don’t even remember! 680 and Diablo were usually hard teams to come against but I don’t think we had any one rival.
-
Where do you live now? I live in Gilroy CA
-
What do you work as? I’m an intern at a law firm and I’m a coach for the 16 Area team at Stanford.
-
What was your favorite memory of the club? The Bake-Off was always a great time! I also loved going to Vancouver with winter polo for the BC Open. [editor’s note: Caitlyn baked some super impressive cakes!]
-
What did you major at in college? I’m an English major
-
What hobbies do you enjoy?  Going to the beach, reading, painting/drawing
-
Is there any advice that stuck with you from one of the club coaches?  Kyle would always say: ‘if you’re five minutes early you’re on time, if you’re on time you’re late.’ I’ve always remembered that and it’s helped me to stay on time.
-
Has waterpolo helped you in your daily life in any way?  Yes, definitely! Water polo really helped me to learn how to be a good leader but also how to be a good follower. The team building and teamwork I learned in the pool helps me in school and at work.
-
Are there any life milestones you want to share?  I recently got engaged to my girlfriend, we met playing polo in college! We’re planning to get married next summer sometime after graduation.
-
Do you keep in touch with club teammates? A few of the women I played with went on to play on the east coast as well so I’ll see them at tournaments. Especially Rebecca Koshy and Dana Delucchi since they play in the same conference!

Will you be attending the reunion June 26-27?  The 16 Areas might be at JO quals so I don’t think I’ll be able to make it.  Kyle is talking about setting something up for those of us who will be at JO quals though so hopefully I’ll still get to say hi 🙂
